Breaking Through

The weather app said, “Dense fog advisory.” But up here on the ridge, the fog had begun to melt away.

I looked out the kitchen window and saw the sun breaking through the trees, through the fog.

And I remembered how Love breaks through shadows, fears, despair.

Light and Love, break through walls of hate. Break into hearts frozen by hopelessness. Holy One, bring us your peace.
